    Daymara Baker

    Daymara Baker is a consumer products marketing, sales and procurement professional. She has over 20 years of experience with an international company, market-leading promotional agencies and social enterprises. Daymara started with Chiquita as a Marketing Manager being her last post Director of Sales for Walmart & Sam's Club. Before joining Chiquita, she served as the Account Director for The Integer Group and Account Service Manager for ThompsonMurray. Daymara launched in 2016 her social enterprise, Rockin’ Baker, a life-changing artisan bread bakery training and employing young adults on the autism spectrum to facilitate transition into permanent employment. She previously co-founded the Community Creative Center in Fayetteville. Daymara is currently the COO for INTERFORM, a non-profit organization at the forefront of creative growth and change in our community envisioning a self-sustaining design-led fashion and art industry in NWA. Daymara is originally from Venezuela and calls Fayetteville home.

  • Mary Borman

    Mary Borman

    Mary is a 24 year old Fayetteville native who uses her social platform to encourage others.

    Mary was the first person with Down Syndrome to attend the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, as well as the first person with Down Syndrome to model in NWA Fashion Week.

    In addition to these accomplishments, she is an ambassador for the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) and in 2018 was named the Self-Advocate of the Year for that organization.

    Mary has been to Washington DC on a number of occasions to lobby for disability rights with our senators and congressmen and was instrumental in helping pass the national ABLE Act that allowed people with disabilities to save money for education without losing access to other government programs.

    Mary also swims competitively both nationally and internationally with Special Olympics and the Down Syndrome International Swimming Organization.

    Mary speaks to organizations all over the country concerning health, fitness, and nutrition for individuals with Down Syndrome and helps others understand what it is like to have Down Syndrome.

  • Claire Pongonis

    Claire Pongonis proudly hails from the beautiful Ozark Mountains region of Arkansas, where she draws much of her inspiration. She specializes in embroidered thread paintings, utilizing a blend of traditional embroidery techniques and contemporary painting methods.

    With a background in Fine Art, Claire's creative practice includes oil pastel, acrylic, and gouache. Her work is characterized by vibrant colors, rich textures, and intricate details.

    Claire constantly explores new methods of creating and loves to push the boundaries of her creative understanding to find something unique and magical. Her curiosity leads her to travel frequently, but she calls Fayetteville, Arkansas home.

  • Nicole Calhoun

    Nicole Calhoun is an established yoga professional, entrepreneur, and studio owner originally from Arlington, Texas. She has always been a passionate athlete... from playing basketball and running track in high school, to being a scholarship hurdler at Texas Tech University. She first found yoga in 2010 to relieve chronic back and neck pain. She quickly became obsessed with the emotional, spiritual, and physical aspects of the practice.

    After earning her doctorate degree in Molecular Biology, Nicole worked as a vaccine scientist for over a decade before deciding to leave science once and for all for yoga in 2020. She is the founder and owner of the extremely popular and top ranked ELXR Yoga Lounge brand, who’s core values are diversity, education, and experience.

    Nicole is also a lululemon Summit Ambassador, a Garmin ambassador and has been featured in Yoga Journal Magazine. She is also a social media influencer with a combined social media audience of over 105,000 followers She is a wife, a mom to 3 boys, and a passionate world-traveler.

    Sierra Polk is a business management consultant with Communities Unlimited . She has more than six years of small business development and consulting experience that includes but is not limited to, ideation, start-up foundations and building sustainable venture eco-systems for historically dis-advantaged businesses. Sierra’s finance and HR skillsets have supported in her transition from corporate retail environments to non-profit and main street business expansion. Sierra holds multiple business development and entrepreneurship certifications, as well as a bachelor’s degree in accounting, concentrating in business management from the University of Maryland - Eastern Shore in Princess Anne, MD.

    Sierra is also a small business owner, founding Blackground Agency. BLKGRND a national

    workforce creation, business and talent development firm. Blackground specializes in providing leadership re-skilling and upward mobility support for people in transition; be it from collegiate settings to societal re-entry for formerly incarcerated communities, to people transitioning from corporate to entrepreneurial spaces and more.

    From vision boarding to business, Alex knows what it takes to bring your biggest dreams to life! Alex will take attendees on a journey through self recognition and acceptance and will show you how to dig in deep to understand how to find your passion and bring it into the world!

    Alex has spent the last 10 years working with women, nonprofits and marginalized groups in an effort to support and understand her community in every way possible. From volunteering to raise money for breast cancer awareness to running half marathons, Alex enjoys any challenge thrown her way. After years in the corporate world, she decided it was time to step out on her own and start an event planning and consultation company. In just over a year, business is booming and passions are growing.
